<p>Lead from lead glass containers can migrate into the container contents and pose a health risk. A lead glass container is provided with a barrier coating comprising silicon and oxygen deposited on its inner surface after formation of the container. A process for making the coated lead glass container is also provided. The coating may be deposited by chemical vapour deposition.</p> |
