<p>A dual mode communication receiver comprises a first demodulator (108) for detecting information received in a first modulation format, and a second demodulator (112), responsive to the information detected in the first modulation format, for detecting information received in a second modulation format. The first and second demodulators (108, 112) share a common receiver front end (102). A power conservation circuit (104) is provided for selectively supplying power to the first and second demodulators (108, 112) for enabling the detecting of the information received in the first modulation format and the second modulation format, respectively.</p> |
