Valves 3, 4, 5 are actuated by a "joystick" 15, 37 provided with a device which latches it in a position in which either valve 3 or 4 is fully open whilst permitting free movement of the joy-stick to operate valve 5. Lever 15 is movable about axes 16, 21, carries a threearmed valve actuator 7 and is pivoted at 40 to an upper tubular lever 37 which carries a yoke 38 provided with surfaces 45, 46 adapted to slide on the shoulders of a #-shaped member 39. Lever 15 is guided in a slot 47 in member 39 which is pivoted coaxially with pivot 21 at 50, 51. When levers 15, 37 are moved out of alignment by movement of lever 37 beyond the limit of travel of lever 15 in slot 47, one of steps 53, 54 in member 39 is engaged by the associated lip 43, 44 on yoke 38 to latch lever 15 in a position in which valve 3 or 4 is fully open, but due to pivots 50, 51 lever 15, together with member 39, is still free to pivot rearwardly to operate valve 5. A sleeve 58 is slidable in lever 37 to prevent relative pivoting of levers 15,37 thereby rendering the latching mechanism inoperative. |
