Fast imaging pulse sequence for nuclear spin tomography.

Radio-frequency pulses (RF) are radiated in with a repetition time (TR) which is less than the spin-grid-relaxation time (T1) of the nuclear spin observed. After each radio-frequency pulse (RF), a number of echoes are obtained by a read-out gradient (GRO), the polarity of which changes several times. In this sequence, images can be obtained in fractions of seconds in spite of long repetition times, without requiring special hardware.
