Double seat valve with function sensor - has valve elements coaxial with mutual gap between their valve stems monitored by single sensor

The valve elements (1, 2) operate in opposing directions onto their valve seats (5, 6) and have their valve stems fitted with permanent magnets (9). The magnets have opposing polarity to enable the single sensor (8) to detect which valve is lifted to the open position. The two valves are operated as an exclusive-OR system, with only one open at a time. The out of contact sensor has a control circuit with self adjusting measurement i.e. when the valves are both closed. Each valve opening can be progressive with the sensor calculating the relative opening state between fully closed and fully open. ADVANTAGE - Reduced number of sensors for multiple valves, self adjusting control circuit.
