The suitcase (1a), esp. with wheels, incorporates a seat (3a) with a smooth sitting surface (8a) pref. near the carrying-handle (4a). The seat extends over the top (5aa) across that half (2aa) of the suitcase contg. the handle, and/or over the top of that half of the suitcase acting as lid. The suitcase is in two halves (2aa,2ab) of injection moulded plastics. The seat (3a) is in the form of a separate moulded part (9a) riveted and/or screwed to the suitcase top (5aa). The back part of the suitcase top as viewed from the direction in which the case is moved, has a fold-down, easily accessible hook (6a) from which to hang hand luggage or bags. USE/ADVANTAGE - The suitcase, pref. on wheels, can be used as a seat by the traveller, by having no jutting out surfaces such as handle, edging strips or sloping parts on the top.
