Tensioner for power saw chain led over saw sword - has threaded bolt in plane of saw sword and has abutment face for latter

The saw sword (1) is clamped between a drive motor housing (20) and a clamping element (14) and is longitudinally displaceable with the clamping element released. The displacement is provided by a threaded bolt (7) extending in the displacement direction and rotatable about its axis. The threaded bolt is fitted in plane of the saw sword and has an abutment face for the sword. Pref. the bolt is mounted in a threaded bore (6) of a fixed bolt (4) secured to the housing. The threaded bolt carries a set wheel (8) of larger dia. ADVANTAGE - Favourable taking up of forces acting on the saw sword, without need for any tools for chain tensioning.
