The two end faces which make up the axially aligned slit in the non-installed position are connected together by moulded elastic sections (12) which can be undulating with their troughs (16,17) and peaks (14,15) opposite one another. At least one position (6) starting from the end sides (10) the cage has incisions (8) and between these a circumferentially rigid connector (11). Circumferentially on one or both sides next to the incisions there is a recess (9) extending over the width of the cage and defining the elastic sections. ADVANTAGE- The cage can be economically mass produced by casting and has a longer service life.
