<p>A printing apparatus includes a vibrating wave drive which cooperates with a vibratory rail in which support bases are provided to only the two end portions of a vibrating rail, and the rail is fixed on a third bottom plate via the bases, so that a portion, excluding the two end portions, of the vibrating rail extends over a moving path of a sheet. Support bases are also provided to only the two end portions of a carriage guide rail, and the rail is fixed on the third bottom plate via the bases, so that a portion, excluding the two end portions, of the carriage guide rail extends over the moving path of a sheet. <IMAGE></p> |
