<p>A photographic film cassette has a cassette shell (10), a spool (12) contained in the cassette shell, and photographic film (2) wound on the spool (12) in a form of a roll. A leader (2c) of the photographic film is exited through a passage mouth (20) when the spool is rotated in the unwinding direction. A passageway (22) is formed between the passage mouth and a roll chamber for passing the photographic film, and has first and second inside faces (27,33;127,133) which face respectively the emulsion and back surfaces of the photographic film. A first pair (28,35;128,158,178) of ridges are formed on the first inside face, and contact on the emulsion surface in an outside of exposure-designated areas relative to a width of the strip of of the photographic film. A second pair (32,36,132,152,172) of ridges are formed on the second inside face, and contact on the back surface in an outside of exposure-designated areas relative to the strip width. The two pairs of ridges regulate tendency of the photographic film to curl like an archway. In a preferred embodiment, a photographic film receiving gate of a camera is provided with a pair of ridges and a pair of steps for regulation of curl, in the manner the same as the cassette. <IMAGE></p> |
