The multi-part mould assembly, to develop an adhesive bond at least partially between the components (23) placed in the mould, has a lower mould section (8) and a movable upper section (21) and a heater. The lower mould section (8) is composed of a number of parts which can slide against each other on a base frame. The base frame is fitted to a baseplate (1) shaped to give a pivot mounting (14) at one side for a swing frame (13), which has an upper frame (29) to carry the upper mould section (21). The other side of the base plate (1) has a lock (17,18) for the swing frame (13) when it is moved into the closed position. A mechanism (19) applies vertical pressure to the swing frame (13) towards the base plate (1), in a floating mounting at the swing frame (13), with extending pneumatic cylinders (19). USE/ADVANTAGE - The assembly is especially for the adhesive bonding of a vehicle sunroof glass pane, for a sliding vehicle roof, to a metal holding frame and an inner roof plate. The structure contains the high mass of the units to be bonded, giving a reliable mfg. process.
