Paper coating system for wood laminate sheets - has controlled feed of coating above and below laminate feed and with electrostatic adhesion of paper sheets

The wood laminates are fed along a horizontal conveyor (3) while the paper is supplied from reels (10) above- and below the main feed. The paper is fed to separate cutters (9) and directed onto suction conveyors (4,5) which feed to a bonding station (A) downstream to the laminate feed. The paper sheets are adhered to the laminates by electrostatic adhesion using electrodes (12) both in the cutting positions and in the bonding position. At least two paper rolls are mounted in each supply position enabling single- and double layers of paper to be used. For double layers the two sheets are stuck together with electrostatic force. The whole process is controlled by a processor to cut the paper lengths to the laminate format and to synchronise the process. USE/ADVANTAGE - Bonding of plastic coating layers to wood laminates.
