The data memory (5) contains different operational programmes, which can be called up over the control unit (3). The programmes are shown on a separate indicating unit (6) adjoining the monitor (1). A marking transmitter (7) is assigned to the system control unit (4) for producing a marking (8) controlled by the operating unit on the indicating unit (6). One operating condition of the medical diagnosis system at least is carried out across the operating unit (3) so that an operating programme corresp. to the operating condition is indicated on the indicating unit (6). This indicates only the operational functions required for this operating condition and the operating functions are controlled across the controllable marking.
