<p>In a door and window fitting with at least one push rod (10) arranged longitudinally displaceably in a channel (12) located in the rebate region of a leaf (14), there is a gear (16) which has a rack (24) connectable to the push rod (10) and a gearwheel (22) meshing with the rack and rotatable into a plurality of actuating positions by means of a handle. The gear contains two bearing shells (18,20) for the gearwheel (22), on which is formed a flange (26), in which are integrated in turn a rack guide (28) and a fail-safe device (34). The bearing shells (18,20) can be introduced together with the gearwheel (22) through a rebate orifice (42) in the bottom of the push-rod channel (12) into a hollow chamber (44) of the leaf profile (14), in such a way that the flange (26) containing the fail-safe device (34) butts against the outer edge (46) of the push-rod channel (12), and the bearing shells (18, 20) and gearwheel (22) can be connected through bores in the visible surface of the leaf profile (14) to a knob which can be flanged on from outside and which has the handle. <IMAGE></p> |
