The appts. treats an arm etc. oedema by application of natural, systolic/diastolic pressure, continuously upwards reducing via a jacketed pressure container with appropriate liq. Pref. the container represents an enclosed system w.r.t. the arm. The container inner layer is of such flexibility as to be applicable pref. to the hand fingers in such close position that the pressure transfer takes place simultaneously to the entire arm. The liq. is typically contained in a hose system whose length and dimensions depend on the liq. specific weight. ADVANTAGE - Increased treatment efficiency on renewal of natural circulation.
