The microscope has a driving control system connected with the identifying unit (4) of the micrometer. The system can operate or drive the support and carrier system on the basis of a result recognised by the identifying unit, so that the eye of the observer and ocular opening of microscope coincide. The identifying unit (4, 5) connects a head holder (9), and a position identifier (6-8, 10) with the microscope, so that a mutual movement between the two is facilitated. A coding system is used to identify the movement between the head holder and the microscope. The head holder is moved using electromagnets and an ultrasonic oscillator and an ultrasonic receiver are used to operate the driving control system. ADVANTAGE - No hand insert is required for moving microscope. Field of vision requiring automatic movement of microscope is maintained fault-free.
