An alarm system is incorporated in a torch. This can function in an ordinary way with a switch (7) for turning a light (4) on and off. The switch (7) also primes an alarm circuit when the torch is on, and when another switch (10), preferably in the form of a pressure pad, is actuated the alarm (5, 27) is set off and latched on. It cannot be suppressed by operation of either switch (7, 10). A third switch (8), which primes the alarm circuit without switching on the torch, can also serve as the means for stopping the alarm (5, 27), but only after a delay. <IMAGE> |
