<p>The present invention relates to a device for checking the thickness and the regularity of a coating, made of a conductive material, deposited on an elongated insulating body, this device comprising: - a sensor sensitive to the presence of the elongated body and belonging to an electrical circuit supplied with a voltage (24) called the supply voltage, - measurement means (25) for measuring, at the output of the circuit, an electrical parameter which is a function of the thickness of the conductive coating, - means for processing the electrical parameter in order to deduce therefrom the thickness of the conductive coating, characterised in that the sensor consists of a capacitor (10) including two plates separated from each other by an air gap containing a dielectric material, this capacitor being designed to allow the elongated body to pass through the air gap. <IMAGE></p> |
