A television signal processing system for multiplexing and transmitting additional information to the existing television broadcasting within the same transmission band as in the existing television broadcasting, assigns plural data to the amplitude or phase information in the frequency domain at the transmission side, and adjusts the amplitude of the frequency domain, then converts it into a signal in the time domain by inverse fast Fourier transform. The transformed signal is modulated by quadrature modulation of the video carrier, and limited in band by inverse Nyquist filter, and transmitted. At the reception side, the signal demodulated in quadrature by the video carrier is converted into information in the frequency domain, and the transmitted data is reproduced from that information. <IMAGE>
