A plastic type laminate, partic. one which is flat, is produced from at least one layer of plastic material which melts when hot, can be pressed, and is three-dimensionally mouldable. In the process, disintegrated used plastic material, which can only be recycled with difficulty or not at all, is scattered onto a layer of thermoplastic, which is then heated sufficiently to bonded to the scattered material. The prod. is finally cooled and can be further processed if required or cut into sheets. The layer receiving the scattering is pref. polypropylene. ADVANTAGE - The prod. is suitable for use in components inside cars. It contains the used plastics which pose problems in recycling.
