PURPOSE:To let the device suited for copying of thick originals, such as books, by superposing right and left symmetrical lighting lights from diagonal downward within the required range of the surface to be radiated in a copying machine, etc. CONSTITUTION:An upper reflecting mirror 9 and lower reflecting mirror 5 enclosing a light source 4 are part of an elliptical cylindrical face mirror. There is the center 3 of the light source 4 in the common first focus position. The second focus 10 of the mirror 9 is in the position near the reflecting mirror 11 provided on the side opposite from the light source 4 with the optical path from a slit part 8 up to an imaging lens 1 in-between, in the optical path, and the second focus 10' of the mirror 5 is in the position just before the slit part 8 in the optical path. The reflected light from the mirror 5 lights the slit part 8 directly and the reflected light from the mirror 9 broadly lights the slit part 8 by the divergent luminous flux from the right and left oblique directions by way of the mirror 11. Thereby, the thick originals, such as books, may be copied. |
