摘要 To control a hot strip rolling train, the roller gap is set so that the delivery thickness matches a reference value at each stand. An internal stand mass flow variation is computed or used at the delivery side of an upstream stand and the entry side of a downstream stand in a pair of neighbouring stands. The surface roller speed of the upstream stand is controlled to zero the internal mass flow variation. The drive of a slip motor is controlled so that the registered motor angle matches a given reference angle to the junction between the preceding bar and the next bar at a position exactly in front of the upstream stand and after passage through the downstream stand, with simultaneous measurement of the tension of the rolled material using a loading from the slip, and the roller surface speed is set at the upstream stand so that the tension matches a reference tension during balanced rolling. The slip drive motor speed is controlled for a slip roller to match a reference angle by an amount so that the rolled material is not contacted as far as the junction through the downstream stand after the junction point as reached the exact position in front of the upstream stand. USE/ADVANTAGE - The method is for the control of a hot strip rolling train to give a stable and floating thickness change with a number of stands, where the material is joined to give a continuous action.
