<p>A recording apparatus includes a roll of recording paper conveying roller (20) for feeding a roll of recording paper (21) and a sheets of recording paper conveying roller (4) for feeding sheets of recording paper, and power force from a DC motor (23) is transmitted to these rollers through a switching mechanism. The switching mechanism includes a system gear (32), a planetary gear (7), and a planetary gear arm (25). The switching mechanism is further provided with a lock nail (26) for fixing planetary gear arm (25) at a prescribed position. Further in cooperation with the switching mechanism, a head release cam (15), a head release pulley (16) and a timing belt (9) for moving a recording head (10) are provided. Thus, roll of recording paper and sheets of recording paper can separately used as needed, and the manufacturing cost and size of the apparatus can be reduced. <IMAGE></p> |
