On the master cylinder housing (3) is secured a separate equalising container (10), whose bottom has an aperture, liq.-tightly coupled to the cylinder housing adjusting bore (8). The latter opens in a convex cylindrical outer surface of the cylinder housing. The coupling bore (19) opens into the concave cylindrical coupling surface (16, 17) of the equalising container. The latter is secured to the cylinder housing by a clamp (21) held round the cylinder housing. Pref. there is an annular groove (18) round the coupling bore in the concave cylindrical coupling surface. USE/ADVANTAGE - Low-cost design and mfr. of master cylinder for hydraulic brake system.
