The method involves generating the standard Swiss alarm tone of 200 Hz +/- 10% and emitting through one or more high power loudspeakers. The generator includes an input stage or interface to an existing remote controller, a control module, a signal generator with timer, and one or more power amplifiers. The number of power amplifiers is determined by the necessary sound power. An alarm siren head is constructed from one or more loudspeakers designed for 200 Hz output. USE - For warning population living below dam of impending catastrophe or flooding. Electrical rather than pneumatic generation of sound requires less space.
