Manner of obtaining palladium and ruthenium dioxide from palladium ruthenium alloys consisting in transferring palladium and ruthenium into chlorocomplexes, characterized by the fact that the solutions containing chlorocomplexes of these metals is treated with the ammonium salt of a weak acid, beneficially with acetate or ammonium carbonate until pH = 4-5 is reached and from the released diamino palladium chloride, palladium is reduced, following refining; whereas to the remaining filtrate, previously acidified, dimethylglyoxime is added and it is heated up to the boiling point, palladium dimethyl- glyoximate sediment is separated and the filtrate is concentrated by way of vaporization and ammonium pentachloro(nitrosyl)ruthenate is crystallized which is subsequently thermally decomposed and roasted.
