The package has a cardboard base (1) and uses two bags each of which is opened on two adjacent edges. The products to be packaged rest on the base, and the lower faces of the two bags are arranged beneath the base. The upper faces of the two bags are lifted to form a pyramidal structure. The joining edges may be connected together using staples or adhesive tape. USE/ADVANTAGE - Provides low-cost package for foodstuffs which do not come into contact with interior surface of package.
