A photographic stripping film comprises a polyester temporary support, a stripping layer comprising a copolymer of a diolefine and from 5 to 60% of the total number of units of acrylonitrile and/or methacrylonitrile, and a hydrophobic layer carrying a silver halide emulsion layer. The temporary support is preferably of polythylene terephthalate but may be of a polycarbonate. The copolymer of the stripping layer may be of butadiene and acrylonitile and may contain other units such as of styrene. The diolefine may however be isoprene or chloroprene. The hydrophobic layer may be a cellulose derivative, a polyamide, polyester (including polycarbonate), polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl ester or polyvinyl acetal and may be subbed with a gelatine layer (which may be resistant to hardening as described in Specification 1, 035, 441 before the silver halide emulsion layer is applied. |
