ELECTRICALLY INSULATED COIL

PURPOSE:To discriminate faulty insulation due to excessive stress, etc. by a method wherein a stress paint layer is attached on an electric insulating layer formed on a conductor of the coil. CONSTITUTION:A stress paint layer 3 is attached in such a manner that it is laminated on a main electric insulating layer 2 formed on an outer circumference of a conductor 1 of a coil. If excessive stress is applied to the electric insulating layer during a process, etc. of coil lifting operation to house the electrically insulated coil into a core slot, a crack pattern is displayed on the stress paint layer 3 thus the probability of electric breakdown can be discriminated. Consequently, faulty insulation can be discriminated.
