The invention relates to a control device for a set of electrical members (L1-L4) in a motor vehicle, of the type comprising for a group of such members a decoding module (200) receiving an electrical signal containing excitation and de-excitation instructions for the electrical members of the group and creating control signals on the basis of the said instructions, and a set of switches (I1-I4) controlled by the said control signals and each mounted between a common electrical supply line (130) and a respective electrical member of the group.
According to the invention, the controlled switches (I1-I4) are mounted in the vehicle in proximity to each of the respective electrical members of the group (L1-L4), the decoding module (200) is housed in a box (202) separate from the controlled switches.
