PURPOSE:To enable the recording with low power and high density without resulting in upsizing an optical pickup and increasing its driving current. CONSTITUTION:For a semiconductor laser 2 as a recording light source at the time of recording an optical disk 1, a laser in a short wavelength area having an absorption ratio of >=50% at the optical disk 1 is used. By this method, high density recording is feasible by recording with power that is lower than reproducing power. |
