PURPOSE:To certainly seal a material to be sealed without bending the seal place thereof by transmitting the vibration start command of an ultrasonic vibrator after predetermined seconds from the point of time when the seal place is held between the vibrator and a receiving roll and transmitting a vibration stop command after the seal place passes through the gap between the vibrator and the receiving roller. CONSTITUTION:A disc-shaped ultrasonic vibrator 1 rotated around a shaft 2 to obtain ultrasonic vibration in the radius direction thereof, the receiving roll 5 provided in opposed relation to the peripheral surface of the vibrator 1 so as to leave a slight gap and rotated in the direction opposite to the rotary direction of the vibrator 1 to feed a material 10 to be sealed and a transfer conveyor 11 sending the material 10 to be sealed into the gap between the peripheral surfaces of the ultrasonic vibrator 1 and the receiving roll 5 are provided. It is detected that the material 10 to be sealed is held between the vibrator and the receiving roll by a detection and indication device 14 and, after predetermined seconds the vibration start command signal of the ultrasonic vibrator 1 is transmitted and, after the seal place of the material 10 to be sealed is passed through the gap between the vibrator 1 and the receiving roll 5, a vibration stop command signal is transmitted. By this constitution, the seal place is smoothly held between the vibrator and the receiving roll and the bending of a seal line is prevented. |
