PURPOSE:To carry out a next luminous operation securely in a high speed repeating luminous operations by applying a high voltage generated in the winding of a trigger transformer in a trigger operation to both ends of a flashing discharge tube by superposing to a main capacitor. CONSTITUTION:In a trigger operation, an oscillation voltage following the discharge of a trigger capacitor 14 is induced even to the primary winding, and a part of the oscillation voltage is applied to both ends of a flashing tube 5 by superposing to the charged voltage of a main capacitor 2, and the tube 5 emits the light by consuming the charged potential of the capacitor 2. And when a trigger switch element is turned off, and the tube 5 is made in an ionized condition, the current flows through the tube 5, the second diode 17, the capacitor 14, and the primary winding of a trigger transformer 15. As a result, the capacitor 14 is charged, and the charging time constant in this charging operation is made very small. That is, the capacitor 14 is charged instantly after the OFF of an I.G.B.T.(insulating gate type bipolar transister) after the initial emission, and the next luminous operation can be carried out securely. |
