SOLENOID MAGNETIC FIELD TYPE DISCHARGE LAMP

PURPOSE:To lower the coil surface temperature by opening a ventilation hole in a high frequency exciting coil. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency exciting coil 20 is installed in the way it surrounds a bulb 10 in which a luminous substance is sealed and plasma discharge is generated through the coil 20. Consequently, the luminous substance emits light. A ventilation hole 22 is opened in the flat conductor of the coil 20 and due to the convection the ambient heat of the coil 20 escapes passing the hole 22 and thus the temperature of the coil surface lowers and coil efficiency is heightened and a solenoid magnetic field type discharge lamp having these characteristics is provided.
