A process for waste incineration is described in which waste - as far as is necessary - is comminuted, then, if desired, mixed with fuels and subsequently incinerated at temperatures of 1100 to 1700 DEG C, the ash being produced in liquid form and being discharged in the most part as liquid slag from the combustion chamber and the pollutants being separated from the combustion gases formed. The process is characterised in that the liquid ash particles suspended in the exhaust gas at the combustion temperature are removed by at least one gravity separator and are then either solidified alone or combined with the liquid slag and solidified together with this. |
