<p>PURPOSE:To utilize effectively the capacity of DC power source devices and to prevent interruption of power by providing change-over switches which can connect plural DC arc furnaces to the plural DC power source devices separately, or can convert the connections. CONSTITUTION:Change-over switches 51a and 51b, and 52a and 52b can connect DC arc furnaces 14 and 24 to rectifier devices 12 and 22 as DC power source devices individually and respectively. Or the arc furnace 14 connected individually can be separated from the device 12 and the arc furnace 24 can be converted to connect to the two sets of devices 12 and 22, or the arc furnace 24 connected individually can be separated from the device 22 and the arc furnace 14 can be converted to connect to the two sets of devices 12 and 22. Consequently, since the power is continued to feed to either one arc furnace constantly, the power source devices can be operated almost in a full output condition constantly. At the same time, since the feeding power of the power source devices can be operated with no interruption, the influence given to the power system can be reduced.</p> |
