PURPOSE:To facilitate shape correction by outputting a shape feature quantity such as the main curvature, etc., of a shape model constituted in a computer by using a form matching a user's shape image. CONSTITUTION:This device is constituted of a shape display means 21 which displays the shape model constituted in the computer on a display device 10 such as a CRT, a position specifying means 22 for indicating an optional point on the display on the shape display screen by using a pointing device 17 such as a mouse, a shape feature quantity calculating means 23 which calculates the shape feature quantity at the optional indicated point, and a shape feature quantity display means 24 which displays the calculated shape feature quantity in a graph, etc. Consequently, the shape display of a recessed part, a projection part, a plane part, etc., which matches the user's shape image can be made by directly touching the shape by using the mouse.
