发明名称 METHOD AND DEVICE FOR LINEAR INTERPOLATION
摘要 PURPOSE:To speed up linear interpolation by repeating a process for making mid-point data between both end points into an integer value until no interpolation section is left. CONSTITUTION:The coordinates of a point P0 is represented as (0, 0) in an XY coordinate system and the coordinates of a point P1 is represented as (13, 4). The two points are regarded as both initial end points, which are held in an end point holding part. The distances of the points P0 and P1 to the X axis and Y axis are calculated respectively and at least one of the X values and Y values of the distances are not <=1, so the mid-point is calculated to obtain a point P2(6, 5, 2). The X value of the point P2 is not an integer, so the part below the decimal point is discarded to obtain a point P2'(6, 2) as a mid-point. There are two areas between the point P2' and both initial end points P0 and P1, but processing algorithm which performs linear interpolation from the point which is less in X value (left-side end point) is employed to interpolate the area between the point P0 and point P2', and the point P0 and point P2' are regarded as both new end points. This process is repeated until no interpolation point data is obtained between adjacent point data.
