<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate a large change in a winding angle of a recording medium tape to a capstan between the cases at the time of using a large tape cassette and at the time of using a small tape cassette in this recording and reproducing device for which the large and the small tape cassette are selectively used. CONSTITUTION:The recording and reproducing device 15 is capable of using selectively the large tape cassette 1 in large size and the small tape cassette 8 in smaller size than the large tape cassette, and is provided with changing means 18, 19, 35, 38, 39, 42, 43 and 44 for changing positions of a drawing guide 20 to be wound around with the magnetic tape 5 and 12 from a winding part around the capstan to a part near to the tape cassette at the time of using the large tape cassette and at the time of using the small tape cassette. The position 20L of this tape guide at the time of using the large tape cassette and the position 20S at the time of using the small tape cassette and then the position of the capstan should be situated on an approximately straight line by looking at them on a plane.</p> |
