PURPOSE:To reduce the distortion of a partial image and to improve an image quality by selecting a filter at every partial image, and correcting the intensity of the filter when there is a prescribed difference between partial images themselves that the intensities of the filters adjoin. CONSTITUTION:Image data are divided into prescribed blocks by a screen dividing part 12, and the filter matched to the image at every divided partial image is selected by a partial filter calculating part 13. Next, when the filter intensity is extremely different between each part, the filter intensity is corrected by a filter intensity correcting part 14. Next, this device is equipped with a low pass filter 15 which performs a filter processing at every partial image corrected by the filter intensity correcting part 14. Then, a table with the selected filter intensity corresponding to the screen is prepared, and the image quality can be improved by preventing the extremely different numeric values from being continued. |
