PURPOSE:To reduce the unevenness of luminance to improve the luminance by forming a diffusion reflecting layer pattern of the transparent or semi-transparent resin. CONSTITUTION:A square diffusion reflecting layer pattern 22 made of the transparent resin is formed on the back surface 21Aa of a light guide plate main body 21 made of resin with a predetermined arrangement pattern. The light emitted from a cold cathode-ray tube 5 enters the inside of the light guide plate 21 through the inclination side end surface 21Ac. The light 32 directing the transparent diffusion reflecting layer pattern 22 among the light is reflected irregularly by the rough surface of the transparent diffusion reflecting layer 22 and diffused, and enters the inside of the light guide plate main body 21 again, and directs the light outgoing surface 21Ab. The scattered light 34 is diffused more after entering a diffusing plate 4B, and outgoes from the light outgoing surface 20a. The light directing a part, where the transparent diffusion reflecting layer does not exist, is reflected by a reflecting plate 3 and transmitted far, and enters the transparent diffusion reflecting layer pattern 22 far from the cold cathode-ray tube 5, and is diffused similarly. The diffusion reflecting layer pattern 22 made of the transparent resin shows the diffusing work over the whole of the surface. |
