PURPOSE:To provide a mercuryless alkaline dry battery which does not pollute the natural environment on earth by preventing the gas generation in the battery caused by a current collecting bar inserted into a gel shape negative electrode formed of unamalgamated zinc. CONSTITUTION:A current collecting bar 8 is inserted into a gel shape negative electrode formed of unamalgamated zinc and alkaline electrolyte. This battery is manufactured through a process of forming brass mainly composed of copper and zinc into a wire shape having an outside diameter of 0.3-4mm, a process of heating and oxidizing the surface and a process of removing oxide on the surface by means of sulfuric acid solution. |
