PURPOSE:To provide a solar cell containing a CdS layer as window layer with an improved conversion efficiency by reducing the resistance of the CdS film and thus increasing the curve factor (FF). CONSTITUTION:A CdS film as window layer and a CdTe film as light absorption layer are deposited in this order, and subsequently, a heat treatment is performed in an atmosphere containing hydrogen in a belt firing furnace. This reduces the resistance of the CdS film more largely than conventional. The reduction of the serial resistance of a solar cell improves its FF, making the solar cell highly efficient. |
