PURPOSE:To improve adhesion between an electrode plate substrate and active substance, or bonding strength between the active substance and particle, by performing the primary drying of positive or negative electrode plate filled with paste-like active substance, and then applying induction heating. CONSTITUTION:An positive or negative electrode gate 1, filled with paste-like active substances, is moved in a primary drying furnace 2. The positive or negative electrode plate 1 is dried at atmosphere temperature 3 in the drying furnace during this movement. Then the positive or negative electrode plate 1 is left for a given time in an induction heating furnace 4. A.C. is flowed in a coil 5 in the induction heating furnace 4 to generate eddy current in the electrode plate substrate itself of the positive or negative electrode plate 1. Only the electrode plate substrate is heated by Joule heat generated by the eddy current and the resistance of the electrode plate substrate. Adhesion between the electrode plate substrate of the positive or negative electrode plate 1 and the active substance, or bonding strength between the active substance and particle can be improved by ending the drying process in an induction heating furnace atmosphere 6. |
