The manual clamp has two arms (1,2) pivoted together (22), one (1) carrying a jaw (11). The second arm (2) acts as a lever, moving a rack section (3) carrying the second jaw (31). The first arm is operated by a straight rack section, with teeth (32). A rack drive (21) convex section (211) teeth mesh with the straight section, pivoting (212) on the second arm. A spring ensures meshing and constant jaw clamping, independent of arm position. Once clamped, rack movement is locked by a spring loaded pawl (14) on the straight rack teeth. The jaws thus axially compress connectors. USE/ADVANTAGE - Compression tools, e.g. secateurs, clamps. Reduced size, controlling axial compression clamping force.
