<p>PURPOSE:To provide a distance measuring device which can be downsized without impairing the distance resolution and can change a chirp signal any as desired. CONSTITUTION:A distance measuring device concerned comprises the first chirp signal generator 11 to generate the first chirp signals, the second chirp signal generator 12 to generate the second chirp signals consisting of the same signal as the first chirp signal at a pitch a little differing from that of the first chirp signals, and signal transmitter/receiver 14, 15, 17, 18 which transmit the first chirp signals and receive the reflex signals originating therefrom. The arrangement is further equipped with the first multiplier 19 to multiply the received signal with the second chirp signal, the first filter 20 to make band limitation for the output from the first multiplier, the second multiplier 21 to multiply the first chirp signal with the second, the second filter 22 to make band limitation for the output from the second multiplier, and a distance calculator 23 which measures time difference between when the output of the first filter maximizes and when the output of the second filter maximizes and thereupon determines the distance from the object concerned.</p> |
