PURPOSE: To store marking particles containing pigment and to feed the particles little by little to the developing mechanism of a copying device. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a cartridge 14 including a housing 16 storing the marking particles containing the pigment. A slender aperture part 16a is formed on the housing 16, and the marking particles are fed little by little through the aperture part 16a. In order to prevent the periphery from being contaminated because the marking particles passes the aperture part 16a and leaks, a cover 24 is detachably fixed on the cartridge housing 16. The cover 24 which is a flexible sheet member 26, desirably, is held in a state where it is adjacent to the cartridge 14 so that it may not selectively released from the hermetically sealing relation with the aperture part 16a and exposed to the periphery when the cartridge 14 is arranged in the developing mechanism. Thus, the marking particles are easily subdivided in the developing mechanism through the aperture part 16a and the contamination of the periphery is substantially eliminated. |
