PURPOSE:To improve productivity and stabilize quality by injecting a liquefied silicone rubber to one end of a metal mold for receiving a connector body which mold has an L-shaped sectional cavity, and injecting or discharging a press-contact member from the other end. CONSTITUTION:A metal mold body having a groove having the same sectional form as a connector body 3 has and a cavity having the same sectional form as a press-contact member 4 has is provided, and the body 3 is inserted into the groove of the metal mold body. Then, silicone rubber forming the raw material of the member 4 is placed on the body 3, and a metal mold cap is put thereon followed by heating and compression. The silicone rubber is thus charged in the L-shaped sectional cavity provided on the metal mold body to form a determined L-shaped sectional press-contact member 4, and, also, the upright part of the member 4 is adhered to the insulating elastomer band of the body 3 to form a U-shaped connector. Since continuous operation can be performed by injecting or discharging the silicone rubber from one end of the metal mold by a silicon rubber feeding machine, and heating and pressurizing it from the other end, manufacturing process can be mechanized and lined to improve productivity, and quality can be stabilized. |
