PURPOSE:To provide an attachment for fixing a connecting terminal where signal lines cannot be short-circuited each other when a pressure-contact type electric connector is fixed without peeling off a conductive layer in a cable having the conductive layer therearound. CONSTITUTION:In a flat cable 1, a plurality of signal lines 3 are covered with an insulator 5, which is covered with an aluminum foil 7. An attachment 10 is made of an insulative synthetic resin. The number of cylinders 18, 26 and holes 22, 30 corresponding to the number of signal lines 3 are formed on cable receiving surfaces 16, 24, respectively. The attachment 10 is disposed while holding the flat cable 1 therein in pressure contact. The aluminum foil 7b cut by opening ends 32, 34 which are machined into a blade shape is electrically disconnected from the aluminum foil 7a therearound. Pressure-contact terminals to be inserted into the holes 22, 30 reach the signal lines 3 without electrically contacting the aluminum foil 7a. |
