PURPOSE:To provide an aligned result similar to the general arranging order of a dictionary by performing aligment customizing on a computer utilized with the reading KANA of index items. CONSTITUTION:A set of the index items (before alignment) 1 is inputted and the reading KANA is defined as a practical character string 2. A practical character/modifying character string conversion processing 3, with the practical character string 2 as input, converts the respective characters in the practical character string corresponding to the contents of a practical character table 7 to be outputted as a modifying character string 4. An alignment processing 5 scans the modifying character string 4 and performs alignment processing in the order corresponding to the definition of a main categorizing character alignment priority table 8 and auxiliary modifying alignment priority table 9. Thus, the aligned set of the index items (after alignment) 6 can be obtained. |
